a little bit 90s

90s

Back from the dead. It’s been forever, I know. New job, no time. While life is pretty damn good right now, my nails have been suffering and feeling incredibly neglected. But thank goodness for lazy Sunday afternoons with time to dedicate to a little bit of freehand nail art.

A little bit 90s, a classic monochrome palette and a whole lot fun.

I’ll be back sooner than last time, I promise x

black and white and leopard print all over

I spent last night tucked up in bed doing my nails, I am such a rock star. It’s been a crazy week at work and I just couldn’t muster the strength to go out, even though it was Friday. I decided to get comfortable with some new (well, new to me) nail techniques with my new obsession – Sons of Anarchy. That’s right, Ron Perlman’s face kept me in on a Friday night…well, it was actually the leather, motorcycles and the gripping story lines. And of course the sweet grim reaper on the back of the leather jackets. Hence, the black and white nails. Not that it takes much to convince me to do a black and white design.

I hadn’t attempted a full on tape manicure before, they are surprisingly easy and quick. If you have slightly more patience than I do, and you wait for the nail polish to dry completely, then the lines will be nicer than mine and you won’t have to redo it as many times.

Patience is a virtue in nail art, folks. A virtue. Embrace it.
